Our Services

Envision Counseling and Consulting offers evidence-based therapy and consultation services from a team of highly-experienced clinicians who specialize in a variety of age groups and challenges. Envision's counselors believe that treatment should be research-based and, above all, effective.

See Why We’re Different:

N

Treatment that works

At Envision, we collect data on a regular basis in order to track problematic behaviors and monitor progress towards treatment goals. If our clients are not improving, we’re not doing our job.

Skills-based solutions

Envision Counseling believes that many of the difficulties that bring people into therapy can be traced to skill development. By teaching our clients healthy coping strategies and tools for living, we help them diminish the need to engage in problematic behaviors.  At Envision, we’re not only here to listen: we’re here to offer you a better way.

d

A culture of growth

At Envision Counseling, we embrace a teaching-training model that pushes both clients and clinicians to their utmost level of performance. Envision counselors consistently seek out high-quality trainings to improve their practice and stay on the cutting edge of evidence-based mental health care. In addition, our counselors are always working as a team, providing support and feedback to one another so that clients can benefit from the wisdom and experience of six clinicians, rather than just one.

Integrated support

When you’re working with Envision, there’s always someone to call. Our counselors are available weekdays during non-business hours for clients who are in crisis or simply need some additional support. On weekends, an on-call therapist is only a phone call away.

We also work closely with psychiatrists, doctors and other providers to give our clients the very best wraparound services and coordination of care.

Specialized Services

Along with eating disorder counseling, Envision Counseling and Consulting offers other specialized treatments including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) & Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR):

DBT/CBT

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or DBT, is a skills-based treatment program that teaches participants how to navigate life without relying on maladaptive behaviors such as cutting or substance abuse. Although DBT was originally developed for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder, it is now used to successfully treat many other conditions, including anxiety and depression. By learning skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness, clients are able to more successfully manage life’s stressors and challenges, and minimize the use of damaging coping strategies. DBT is the gold standard of research-based treatment models, and its effectiveness has consistently been demonstrated in numerous randomized controlled trials.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR is designed to treat trauma and post-traumatic stress disorders that don’t respond to traditional talk therapy. The goal of EMDR is to help clients “re-process” past experiences that are causing distress or contributing to problematic behaviors in the present. Through this carefully guided technique, sufferers are able to move beyond emotionally charged past trauma and its associated effects in order to live healthier, more productive lives.
